That was Tyson who had left Rooney why Miike tyson lost to douglas.

    1.Kevin rooney was gone

    2.no jab to get inside

3.No bobbing and weaving and head movement

4.No body shots Tyson always threw body shots.

5.He didnt train he was on drugs by then and he start thinking he could not be beat.

It would be like Bruno v Tyson except Vitali would take a few more shots before he goes down. It wouldn't be close.

1986-1988 Tyson defense was great with Rooney in his corner.
no doubting it. Those couple years were crazy to behold. The quick decline after Rooney was such a shame.

A younger Tyson with GOOD foot movement may prevail against Vitali.

Mikes bobbing & weaving was a tactic to get inside so he could explode on you. It wasn't strictly to make opponents miss & his defense wasn't nearly as stellar as Byrd's... with that being said... that bobbing & weaving ain't going to work on Vk who will hit him regardless.. he's not that elusive when Vitali's jab will be in his face from a far distance....

the fact Vitali's left hand is down seems to alot of yous like he's vulnerable.... that hand is ****ed & loaded ready to strike you at any moment.. he's daring you to throw something... his left hand is already halfway to you before you can make a move. Vitali's reflexes are the most underappreciated & underrated part of his game...

That left hand by his waist has everything to do with his reflexes & reactionary time while keeping proper distance from his opponents.. Iron Mike would begging Vitali to stop throwing that left jab in his face & Vitali would oblige with the right hand & that's all she wrote.. Iron Mike AIN'T GETTing INSIDE no matter what he does & if he does Vitali will eat the punch & shoo him away back to his fighting range...
Vitali just sticks that jab out right in front of you, and your saying mike cant get past that? Areoala was landing easily on Vitali and your saying mike won't be able to land on him? Are you serious son?

If Vitali wanted he could score an easy points win on the outside, he might catch a few shots but he has the chin to cope. The only guys I can compare Vitali with are the guys Tyson struggled to land on in the 80's: Green, Tucker, Smith, all about 6'4"/5" but none near as good as Vitali.
