well margarito beat martinez but martinez clearly won the first williams fight. williams ability to stay conscious while being hit with haymaker after haymaker is not a scoring criteria.

margartito beat williams but that was like 10 years ago,maravilla is a different fighter...i think maravilla beats him in a rematch,

Paul Williams turned down a rematch with Cintron. He also turned down several others. I always knew that jumping up and down in weight was going to fuck him one day.

if paul williams wants to get his career back on track he has to get a new trainer, fast. he has a 7 foot wing span and fights like he's 5' 2" and for his trainer to sit in front of national tv after the fight with lara and say there was no defense against the left hand was a disgrace and should've led to his immediate dismissal. if you're a quality trainer you're suppose to have an answer for every style and you're suppose to know you're fighter and have a sound game plan, whether the fighter follows the game is another story but to say there is no answer equals immediate termination. martinez hit him with left hands all night long in the first fight he just couldn't land the big one. what did they think was going to happen in the rematch ???....??? lara just followed the script. williams needs to upgrade now before he becomes vivian harris.
