IBF/WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KOs) is pushing for a shot at WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26 KOs), and believes that he'll be ready to go in 2012. Khan faces mandatory challenger Lamont Peterson on December 10th, and plans to move up to the welterweight division in early 2012. Khan wants to make a "feeling out" fight at 147 in March. All the 41 people who fought Mayweather wanted to be the first to beat Mayweather.Khan has no chance of winning because he's one dimensional and too predictable.Khan has no chance of hitting Floyd's body,Floyd's arms are too long and he covers the body well.Khan's only tool is the jab and Floyd has that overhand he uses to punish those who try to use a jab until they stop jabbing.So what will Khan use to beat Floyd?The headbutt?Maybe because many Khan's fights have been stopped because of headbutts.Even if Khan uses the headbutt,Floyd will be ahead on points.

McCloskey was stopped because of headbutts,Barrera just to mention a few.First Khan needs to beat Peterson.Many people think Peterson is a done fight but forget that Khan has been beating shorter guys who cant get to him first.The day he fought a taller guy he got his lights switched off.

I really don't get how people think Amir Khan is going to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr...I really like Amir...the women REALLY like Amir...but what is he going to do in the ring against Floyd? Isn't sacrificing lambs against Amir's religion?

Here is what he is gonna do that poses a threat... Use one of the best jabs (proven to work against slick fighters, see Paulie and Zab fight). Try to get in a a few good bodyshots which you know he has. Combine that with the fact that he is a hell of alot faster then Floyd and the fact that floyd is no power puncher at all.... You got a hell of a match. Anybody arguing against, is plain hating.

Match will be about Floyd making Khan miss (60% likely) vs Khan's speed and work ratio (40%)...Other then that, nobody is getting knocked out or anything.

Comparing Paulie Malignaggi and Zab Judah to Floyd Mayweather as "slick" fighters isn't right...look at the Maidana fight and tell me that Khan can spend 12 rounds in the ring with Floyd Mayweather...Khan will gas himself punching at air by the 6th...I love Khan, but he isn't ready for Mayweather unless he wants another loss on his record.
