Dawson said his plan is to throw 1,000 to 1,200 punches. Agree or disagree with this gameplan?

Personally I chuckle at the thought of Dawson throwing that many punches against any opponent, let alone hopkins.

I will bump this when Dawson beats Hopkins clearly

Stewart was a terrible fit for Chad...and he is not that great a trainer now anyway...

If Dawson throws 1000-1200 punches I think he can win it. You can't outbox or pick B-Hop apart, you gotta beat him with athleticism. Dawson has to stay focused for the entire match. If B-hop is not doing good in the fight he's gonna do some slick dirty stuff to pull Chad out of his comfort zone. Dawson has to keep his head and stick to his gameplan to win.

I'm all in favour of the link-up with Scully. It's the right emotional choice for Chad at this moment, and we all know how important the mental aspect of boxing is.

If anyone has ever read John talk about Chad on here, you could really feel the pride and connection he felt in coaching Chad. That tells me they aren't going to half-ass camp.

People get too blind-sided with trainer reputations on this forum, as if Steward, Roach, Floyd Sr and even Uncle Roger (!) can completely fix any fighter coming off a loss/unconvincing win.

What's with all the drama surrounding Chad. He better be getting his **** together.

Lol, its not like he should be embarassed to want to be with his family. At least that sounds good. Not wanting to go to Detroit basically makes him sound like a little bytch or something lol

Sad Chad is just another mentally weak American, he couldn't handle Steward yelling at him and criticizing him.

175 is the weakest division in boxing.

And like a prophet, I predicted that Dawson would not stay with Steward.

It really didn't take any real insight. One just had to remember that Manny Steward ruins fighters that are not giants in their division like Lewis and the Klitschko brothers.

Hearns was a giant in the WW division.

Steward has little to no success with any fighter that isn't taller than his opposition.

                    Why?

Because all Manny offers is to heavily rely on the jab and hug once an opponent gets passed it.

On the low, dudes at Kronk might be beating him up,and he don't like to train there..I'm not sure that's the case, but it might be the reason..
