He did ok against someone of the calibre of Ortiz. I think BH would do well against someone like Ortiz as well if BH was same weight as Ortiz.

It was floyds so called comeback fight, so cant be too harsh on that performance before the sucka punch. But time to step the quality of opponent up.
Or give Ortiz a immediate rematch. They could fight in 2 months time, as they are basically match fit already.

I'm not saying that because he wasn't landing often ortiz (Because he was landed a decent ammount) but to me he just doesn't look anywhere near as quick as people are saying he is and how he looked spectacular.

I think floyd was winning 3 rounds to 1 when the fight ended.

Floyd won fair and square in my eyes i'm just saying I think he is way past it and for all the training he did for this fight he is starting to look old.

      Anyone else want to elaborate?
IMO Mayweather's reflexes are better than ever. In the pass He depended on movement and stayed in the pocket very little. Today He's risking more by staying in the pocket most of the fight. Of course HE will get hit more times, but less get real. If He was moving haters would say that He running, so He's trying to make action packed fights, which means that He has to stay in the pocket more. With this new style, He's more aggresive, more offensive and shows more his improvisation skills, which in my oppinion is his best advantage against Pacquiao, who is set on what He's going to do. I think his last fights have been his way to prepare for a Pacquiao fight and He's getting better fight after fight. I was impressed by his timing and improvisation on his beating of Ortiz and the more HE fights this style, the more He will be ready to do the same against Super Manny.

I think it is very hard to judge the more I think about it based on it being only a 4 round fight.

        I had floyd winning round 1 3 and 4.

Floyd looked normal to me and dominating as usual; he won every round with ease and I've watched the fight probaly 6 times; the ortiz landed in the 4th was grazing punches he never landed like Shane ala in 2nd rd not even close

The best punch ortiz landed was the right hook in the 4th round with 1:55 left...

I think some people buy into Mayweather's hype just a little too much and think he is some God-like phenomenom.

When you CHOOSE to come forward and walk a guy down, you are also CHOOSING to get hit more than you usually do.

That is the same thing with the Judah fight. Floyd knew he would take shots, because he CHOSE to apply pressure.

In the Marquez fight, Floyd fought a different type of fight.

The style dictates how much leather you absorb.

I have challenged, ummm, probably a dozen people to show me a highlight reel of clean Ortiz shots. They can't.

                    Vic wasn't landing **** clean.

Definitely did not look like the same Floyd, to me. Well... He was the same Floyd, just slightly slower with less reflexes. Mind you, that still makes him faster than 90% of boxers in the world and he's still one of the top 3 active boxers today, but he's on the wrong side of the peak, and that layoff was not a benefit to him, at all.
