      wlad was never the champion.

but even though i hate him, he has good skils for a fighter his size and i think he would be the favorite against most fighters in the division. i think that he could take ruiz out because ruiz doenst have the right tools to beat wlad imo. byrd doesnt have the pop to keep wlad off of him but lamon brewster is a fighter he should stay away from. lamon has a sturdy chin and a huge heart. combined with his power i dont see wlad beating brewster.

wlad was WBO champion from 10/14/2000 until 3/8/2003, a solid two and a half years, he made 5 successful defenses of the title, do your homework before you post.

Me personally I think that Klitschko can do it, he needs to gain more confidence in himself and I think he will be able to dominate the division along with his brother for years to come, he needs to take on Lamon Brewster and beat him then he will be called the real deal, let me know what you think about this????

Since he never was the champ to begin with it should be phrased can Wlad become champ at all. The answer is yes. The heavyweight division is at an all time low and is worse than when Larry Holmes was in office. There is absolutely no one out there right now and none of these guys are truly better than b class fighters at best. In the old days, Klitchko's, Rahman, Tua, Byrd, and all of them (With the exception of maybe Toney) would be the guys you have to beat to get to the A class and super class (champions) of fighters.

              no, wlad isnt good enough
in his fight against peter, who seems to be an unskilled brawler, he did not win impressily by any standards
wlads chin is far to weak to be champ, if peter had had any boxing skills or stamina, many people would be talking about the next mike tyson

Right on man!! Not only is his chin weak but stamina (even though he did better in the peter fight) still seems to be a problem.

You misunderstood his post. He was acknowedging that Wlad was A champ, but not THE champ. Wlad was a TITLIST, while Lennox/Rahman was the CHAMP during that time.

He's fighting a Don King fighter next (Byrd or Brewster) and that will open the door to a unification if Wlad wins (assuming King doesn't let it go to purse bid). So that fight is THE fight... if Wlad wins it, then he could possibly be able to work with King and unify all the belts besides the WBC (assuming Vitali wins on Nov12th).

So yes, his next fight could potentially be a first step towards unification if he can beat Brewster (we all know that'll be the fight- Byrd will not fight Wlad), then I'd have to favor him over the winner of Byrd/Toney (Toney) and Ruiz/Valuev (Valuev by unanimous Don King decision) and possibly Rahman, if he upsets Vitali somehow.

It's definitely doable, but he's got to keep that stamina up and keep that defense solid. If he does that, there's no top HW who can beat him right now. "Undisputed Champ" or "the unifier of 3 of the 4 world titles" is possible for Wlad within 18 months if he keeps winning.

vit takes a better punch. thats the only thing he does better that wlad. wlad would have been a very dangerous fight for lewis. lewis got his name off beating shot fighters holyfield and tyson. he never faced anyone with near the talent and punching power of wlad and hes been stopped by rahman and mcall who dont punch nearly as well

Wlad will easily beat Byrd as he did the first time. I think he almost certainly would beat Ruiz. I think he would beat Brewster in a rematch handily.
