....You know the old saying "be careful what you wish for". If both of those guys get their shot I predict two brutal knockouts of two over hyped and under prepared pretenders. The thing is, I believe that Rahman thinks he can beat Vit. I respect that, even though he has no clue until he gets in there with him. However, Toney's show is just that, all show. It's like the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain. It's not real and he has no power amongst real heavies. Toney will absolutely not fight a real heavy. He is 100% full of ****. If he fights Vit it would only be for one last huge payday.

I agree with that completely, I have trouble thinking that even Toney himself believes he can beat VK, no matter how much paranoid schitzophrenic bull**** he spits out.

Toney never ducked anybody. He has been given "no chance" on many occasions.
Same was said about "blown up" cruiser Evander holyfield when he made the switch, the same Evander Holyfield, (unified) HW champ you are still naming under the label "no real heavy weight".

In my opinion 2005 will (have to) show the reality about Toney.

i hope these fights happen, i'd like to see V Klit in against both Toney and Rahman, especially Toney, for all the **** that would go down at the weight in, i just want to hear him call Big K frankenstein just once to his face, and then threaten to go to his car and get his gun. But mostly because people have written JT off for his entire career, first it was, " he's got no chance against undefeated Michael Nunn " , and then " he's got no chance against Iran Barkley ", then " his conditioning is suspect because he gets so fat in between fight " ( ok, this one's true ), " he's too small to be a cruiserweight ", " Jirov was shot when he beat him ", etc.,etc. James Toney is a THREE DIVISION IBF CHAMPION, mother****ers - middleweight, supermiddleweight, and cruiserweight champion and second in natural talent only to Roy Jones jr. i don't know if JT will beat V Klit, or even if they will fight, but he has the tools to get it done. oh yeah, and **** all u haters!

Exactly, that's why he fought Booker, the best ever cruiser turned heavy, to prove this point.

Why did he pull out from the McCline fight?

because he tore his achilles tendon while sparring, i think McCline would be a good tune up fight for Toney, they should try to set that fight up again. Toney fought Rydell " *******" Booker because he'd already beat the best cruiser turned heavy Vasiliy Jirov

That will be a good fight, I think JT might get a SD, if he does not get KOed.

(I was very optimistic about JT's and Jirov's perspectives in HW, but not any more.)
