I didn't know you were looking for the most entertaining defensive fighter.

Perhaps the thread title should be changed.

Juan Manuel Marquez is a great defensive boxer.

          but lets see:

          Mayweather of course
          B-Hop
          Andre Ward
          Chad Dawson

after that then it is a BIG DROP OFF DEFENSIVELY:
Dmitry Pirog (he actually has a very slick and clever style defensively, it is not perfect but he does it well and can make people miss and can avoid big punches very well)

          Andriy Kotelnik
Adrien Broner (a much more WATER DOWN VERSION OF MAYWEATHER style defensively, haven't perfected it yet but does it well enough to avoid serious damage)

Timothy Bradley (he uses a TON OF HEAD MOVEMENTS and he does a good job ducking underneath punches, can be very hard to hit cleanly)

Hank Lundy -is one of the best at Shoulder Rolling and Countering but he gets very sloppy at times and has holes in his defense and he gets caught

also: Joshua Clottey, Arthur Abraham they have that SHELL DEFENSE that is hard to Penetrate, unfortunately for them they don't throw enough punches back and neither have great footwork but those Shells are hard to get past

also think Maidana defense is VERY UNDERRATED
Oh come on. In that case, Manny, Gamboa, and Erislandy Lara should be too. Maidana gets hits more consistently than all of them.

Not to mention that Morales showed better defense than Maidana.

I forget about Moreno that is a good one, also add Rigondeaux and Lara (not to be bias of course)

also add Joan Guzman (when he makes weight and actually does fight ), also throw in the Klitschko's, their height on them of them LEANING BACK makes the extremely difficult to hit, and Vitali counter punching is VERY UNDERRATED, they are not as slow and Robotic as people WANT TO BELIEVE)

Watch his other fights first and then catch Cermeno if you would like.
So far based from what I've seen from the Anselmo Moreno vs Lorenzo Parra fight, his defense is a combination of both Pernell's and Floyd's defense. Just by looking at his stance, you can tell right away that he won't get hit consistently.

yeah maybe I went too far with that one...but I think Maidana has a pretty good shell when he puts his guard up to protect himself, Maidana gets caught more with COUNTER PUNCHES and if you have FAST HANDS like Khan who was able to counter him a lot but when Maidana is coming forward with that Guard up, he actually does pretty good defensively

but yeah maybe I went too far with Maidana lol
