Because Dawson has the problem of going to sleep at times and Manny wanted him to blow the guy away i.e score a knockout. There isn't anyone I've ever heard/read say that Dawson struggled with this guy, it was a shutout.

Well Cloud and Cleverly are undefeated champs, Dawson lost against the only prime elite fighter he ever faced and hasn't fought a top guy since then.

Besides, you have to realize it's Bernard's obligation to fight Dawson. If you recall, Dawson had the right to a rematch with Pascal, but since Pascal and Hopkins drew the first fight, Dawson stepped aside as the WBC ordered a rematch. Hopkins told Dawson he would fight him after he beats Pascal and as Hopkins said, "I'm a man of my word"

This fight will be more competitive simply for the fact that A: Mayweather tends to put on more dominant performances than B-Hop and B: B-Hop is 46. Without a shadow of a doubt, Dawson will have more success against B-Hop than Ortiz had against Floyd. Now, can Dawson pull out the victory?? I personally wouldn't bet on it lol

As a Cloud fan, he hasn't fought any elite fighters unless you consider Johnson elite, nor has Cleverly.

Dawson fought and beat Tarver, Johnson & Adamek. I think it's quite obvious his resume is far better than Cloud or Cleverly.

Yes he did because Adamek was starving himself to make 175. He's a HEAVYWEIGHT NOW so quite obviously he's bigger than dawson. But back then Dawson was clearly the bigger guy in the ring.

I hope this idiot is right, and Hopkins wins in dominant fashion, a la Pavlik, Tarver, Trinidad. Even though this guy clearly is pushing an agenda, the opposite of what he accused Natas of doing. Which is undermining Dawson as a fighter, to make Hopkins look worse in case he losses.
