Official fights that you would've liked to see...

Let me get something out of the way. I'm not talking about fantasy fights. I'm talking about fights that were already announced/signed/made official but somehow because of something fell through. Let's name a few of them:

Mosley-Judah (HBO-PPV)- remember when Judah brought like a fedora to the staredown? I don't even remember that clearly. This was in mid-2008 if I'm not mistaken. The fight fell through and Mosley re-scheduled later that year with Mayorga.

Mosley-Berto (HBO)- the fight was scheduled for January 2010, around a year after Mosley's shocking upset over Antonio Margarito. The fight was cancelled because Berto's Haiti had an earthquake. Mosley would go on to fight Mayweather in May.

Mayorga-Angulo (HBO)- This was part of an exciting HBO tripleheader if I'm not mistaken. Mayorga bailed an Angulo was left to fight Cosme Rivera.

Pavlik-Williams (HBO)- Who didn't want to see this fight? Both fighters had a loss a piece and were looking to win big against the other. The fight was cancelled ultimately for the second (or third) time and what we got instead was a really special treat with Sergio Martínez stepping in to fill Pavlik's place. How fortunate!

Corrales-Castillo III- I didn't follow boxing back then but how disappointing and ominous it must've been to #1: have the fight cancelled and #2: see Castillo unable to make weight again.

Guzmán-Campbell- what a disappointment to see the fight cancelled at the last minute. Campbell, fresh off of his victory over undefeated Juan Díaz and with all his belts, was looking to extend his reign. Guzmán, an undefeated slick boxer, was surely going to contest that. What we got instead was the first of several mishaps from Guzmán. Ironically, it would be Campbell himself being unable to make weight in very next fight.

Can anybody think of other fights that were ultimately cancelled but were already official?

Tyson vs Holyfield in June 1990
      Douglas ruined it for everybody
fight in 1996 shouldn't have been FOTY at all
it was ok, but not that great
woulda been much better when originally scheduled
Holyfield was a lot smaller then
and both guys were in their primes

I really wanted to see Pavlik vs Williams it sucks that fight never came off especially to see both their careers in less than great standing now.

                Maidana-Bradley was signed.

Maidana made up that back injury.

It was signed at one point in 1998, but Ike had to pull out with promotional issues.

Mike Tyson-Evander Holyfield in November 1991. I still remember three weeks before, the day of the Ray Mercer-Tommy Morrison fight, when Tyson pulled out.

                  Larry Holmes-Gerrie Coetzee in 1983/84

                  Bernard Hopkins-James Toney in 2003
