Stub hub BUYS tickets from ticketmaster to resell them at exorbitant prices, they are a secondary market vendor. The fact that they are selling ringside tickets for $5,000-$17,000 should tell you what the demand is for this fight. Tickets are SOLD OUT, try getting even one at ticketmaster, which is a primary market vendor.

Stubhub and tickets now are the equivalent of ebay and craigslist. Tickets are purchased through the primary vendor which is ticketmaster. When ticketmaster sells out, the fight is SOLD OUT. People use stubhub, ticketsnow, ebay and craigslist to RESELL tickets. The tickets you see for sale on these site WERE ALREADY BOUGHT AND PAID FOR. These sites are secondary markets so that people can scalp tickets they have already bought. What people choose to do with their tickets once they have bought them is their business (SCALPING), but that doesn't change the fact the fight SOLD OUT.

Who cares? I know i dont care about how much they make or who supposedly sells out a place. Stubhub buys tix and resells just like they did for Money so whats the big deal. Im sure there are tons of tix left for this fight at the right price. just like Money fight. Money sold around 1.3-5 mill PPV and im sure Pac will too. Though i havent seen any numbers on the Mosely fight im sure it did good too.

It's been written that Floyd's camp had bought up around a 1000 tickets to avoid the embarrassment of a few thousand empty seats because they wanted to save face with Pacquiao. They don't want it to seem like he's the bigger draw. There were STILL empty seats at that fight, it didn't sell out. You could still get tickets through ticketmaster a few days before the fight.

Sorry to put you on the spot bro, but my brother who works for HBO Productions says that the tally as of this morning shows that the Mayweather-Ortiz is at pace to make about a projected 800,000 buys when everything is tallied. I just didn't people to be misled. PEACE!

                    This.

As a fan, I'm more concerned about creating future fans of the sport.

With the future in mind, I think the fights that were held in the new Cowboys stadium were great in creating new fans because of how cheap the tickets were. Thinking of the families that were able to bring their children to a big event like that will be more beneficial for boxing in the long run.
