    If I were Floyd Mayweather.....

I would go out and try my hardest to make a Sergio Martinez or Timothy Bradley fight happen in early 2012. Either in January or February. He needs another fight before Pacquiao in late Spring or Summer 2012 (if it happens), and those seem to be the two best options by far. I still don't actually the Khan fight happening until Fall 2012. Khan is fighting Peterson in December and than again in March or April. He won't be available to fight Mayweather until at least late Summer or Fall 2012.

Sergio is fighting October 1st and could easily get ready to fight again in 4-5 months time. He has indicated that he would go down to 150 to fight Pacquiao, but there has been no response from Top Rank or Pacquiao about that. Also, I really wouldn't like to see Martinez drain himself all the way down to 150, where he'd most likely lose. 154 is far enough and fair enough. Mayweather would go up to 154 (most likely would only go up to 150 though, like he did against De La Hoya), and Sergio would go down from 160 to 154 (and most likely come in over 160 on fight night). Sergio has also indicated that he prefers a fight with Mayweather before Pacquiao. Dibella has also said that a fight Floyd is much more realistic than a fight with Manny for Sergio.

If I wre Floyd, I would try everything possible to make a fight with Sergio Martinez at 154 in February 2012.

Another would be Bradley. This would most likely be looked at by Floyd haters on Floyd taking on another small fighter, but thats crap. Bradley is the best at 140, either him or Khan, and is definitely big enough to fight at 147. He's been begging for a fight with Floyd or Manny, and his last three wins have come against good opponents wo were previously unbeaten (Abregu, Peterson, and Alexander). He is also in his prime, and could easily be ready to fight in January or February 2012.

I just think Floyd needs another fight in early 2012. Whether or not that will happen....I don't know.

What would you like to see Floyd do next???

Bradley is pretty ****** into Arum's fold at this stage, and do you really think any 147 lbers much less Floyd really want to fight a much bigger, very athletic, strong and skilled Sergio Martinez? I think these two fights are very unlikely to happen.

I lost you when you said Floyd should have Bradley as an option, he's not even the best in his division. Although everything you said up to that point is reasonable.

Now all we need is Floyd to pluck up the courage to fight Sergio at 154 in March. That would be one hek of a fight.

Why fight Bradley? He's a JWW whose had 1 fight at WW. If floyd is going to fight another JWW it will be Khan.

          Reasons Khan makes sense:

          - He has a legitimate following and can sell tickets
          - Is with Golden Boy who Mayweather does frequent business with
          - Has eject button chin
          - Not middle weight and P4P#3

All Floyd has to say is he wants to fight Bradley or Martinez. Bradley or Martinez will then bend over backwards to make the fight happen.

I only said if he fights anothe JWW. He just came in at 146.5 and rehydrated to 150. Can't see him fighting for the MW title knowing that. Can you?

I was just saying that Khan isn't available and Bradley will be. Bradley is still one of the P4P Top fighters out there, and if Floyd was unable to land Martienz for an early fight, who else would he be able to get another quick fight with in the first 2 months of 2012...Bradley. And whether or not anyone likes it, Bradley is still a great fighter. He got in the P4P top 10 for a reason, and his last 3 fights has been against previously unbeaten people. Khan's last three fights have been against Maidana (his best win so far), Mcclockey, and Judah.

I only mentioned Bradley as a last resort kind of thing. If Mayweather were to fight Martinez in february 2012 at 154, that would be a dream, and he would over take Pacquiao as P4P #1, even though he only lost it due to retirement.
