alvarez can't make 147. who knows, ortiz can be "possessed" as he was in the berto fight. alvarez will take ortiz a lot more seriously, knowing he has power. can't base this matchup off their last fight because they fought completely different fighters from each other. i'd lean towards alvarez though, he's got a pretty decent blueprint on ortiz judging from the maidana, peterson, and mayweather fights. who knows though, i can see either guy taking it. it'd be a hell of a fight though

Im sure Alvarez can maje 147 he's young. Probably better for both at 154. I expect great exchanges. I think Alvarez cause he seems a lot smarter. Calm and collective. Better chin too.

yeah i agree, even though he hasn't been tested much. and alvarez can't make 147, he couldn't make 150 against matthew hatton.

Ortiz has beaten one good fighter in his life. That's one more then Alvarez has beaten. If they can get a good middle ground on weight Id bet on Ortiz.

If Alvarez try's that shoulder roll of his on Victor like he did gomez, he might get slept. I have not forgotten the that little dance number Jose Cotto made him do, during their fight.

Tough tough call, Alvarez needs to start fighting with a little more urgency, the way Gomez swamped him with activity, I could see Ortiz doing the same. Then again, Ortiz might lose his head in this one too, don't know

Both seem to be getting better with every fight and we weren't able to gauge how much they had come along in either of their last outtings.

Ortiz at his best is a monster but may have trouble fighting someone as big as Canelo. Especially later in the fight. Early, the fight will favor Ortiz and vice versa.

I'm leaning towards Canelo via semi-controversial SD on this one.
