Ill put this in a way a amir fan might understand. Pac fighting JMM is the same as Amir Fighting Breidis Prescott. If Bradley fought and beat Prescott at 147 he would not get much credit and prob get **** for fighting a lightweight. But Amir Fighting him at 147lb would be allot more intriguing simple because of what happened on their previous fights. Although Khan would be the favorite you cant overlook what Prescott did in their last fight, its the same for the Pac-JMM fight. Pac is the favorite but they have a history that makes this fight very much legitimate.

Pac last 3 fights he fought at 147 and above. Pac is the man and will never go down at 135 or 140 for anybody unless your name is bigger than him. If you you compare Marquez to Pacquiao. Marquez is actually physically bigger than Pac in terms of hieght, the same reach and bigger bone structure. Pacquaio also will never come to 2 lbs overweight and there is the possibility that Marquez may come heavier than Pac fight night.

Well, i dont criticise Floyd for his choice in opponents.

But i believe JMM looked bad against Floyd, because everyone looks bad against Floyd.

Plus Pac has been criticised for fighting big, slow, come forward fighters. So against JMM we have a chance to see him fight a guy who IMO outpointed him twice, and has proven to give Pac real trouble.

Good chance Pac will blow him away, but boxing is often about styles. And JMM could make it difficult for Pac.

marquez fought that likar ramos guy at 140..it wasn't a great challenge for marquez, but he did it to stay active and to make his move up from 135 to 147 be more gradual. also they're fighting at a 144 catchweight so marquez can come in at 140 1/2 if he wanted to.
