Floyd knows if he somehow manages to beat Pac, Pac will still be considered the greater fighter.

So its an uphill struggle for Floyd, knowing the reality of the situation is basically a no win situation for Floyd.
Floyd can actually fight Sergio and try beat him, because some think Pac might not be able to beat Sergio.

But knowing Pac, if he fought Sergio, he would then go on to beat Sergio better than Floyd did.
