So its officially been a week since the Mayweather fight.

...And not a single thread has been created for "Knockout of the Year." So I'll do the floyd fanboys a favor, and do it myself.

Throughout boxingscene, anytime an epic KO has occured, you will go back to forums and surely be greeted with a thread suggesting its KO of the year candidancy. And here, arguably the biggest name in boxing Mayweather, a week ago knocked out 10 year younger, 15 lb heavier Victor Ortiz in two blows for a straight ten-count. In the biggest stage, the biggest fight of the year thus far.

And...not...a...single...thread...was created for knockout of the year. Do each of you realize how fascinating that is?

Floyds fans have been going to the ends of the earth to defend the legality and moral of the controversial blows inflicted by mayweather all week. Don't bother spamming my thread up repeating the legality of the punches, because we're all aware by now that they were legal.




So, I ask you, boxingscene.com....since ortiz had those shots coming to him, since they were completely legal blows, completely fair blows that shouldnt be criticized according to mayweather fans...is this a frontrunning candidate for KO of the year?

Absolutely. Only a raging mad ******* would disagree.
Any KO that happens within the parameters of regulation is eligible for candidacy and Mayweather's was entirely legal, so yes and it was a great one.

nah cmon...why it should be?i mean 99 of 100 boxers would have knock down Ortiz in this position... so why somebody should say this is the knockout of the year?

they should not put mayweather's ko as a ko of the year candidate just because it will be a bad influence on our youth and kids might think it's the proper way to fight.

it could be a good influence on the youth as in what NEVER to do in a fight, ala what Ortiz did.......Rockin'

For me, a guy who fully supports what Floyd did. It just wasnt a good enough KO to warrant KO of the year and also the manner in which it came (legal as it was and like i said im down with that ****) makes it less impressive
