Comments Thread For: Team Canelo on December Return, Chavez Jr. Issue

Chepo Reynoso, manager of WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, arrived in Mexico City. He was mobbed with questions pertaining to a super-fight with WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Their respective promoters, Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions, are discussing the potential fight, but Reynoso still doubts the possibility of the fight actually happening, because Chavez will have a very hard time getting down in weight.

Canelo-Latimore is a nice change of pace.

Make it happen if you can't get a big name.

    **** the Powell trilogy.

LMAO! Cmon guys we all know Canello doesn't fight 154 pounders.. Strawberry short cake shld get his belt stripped and move down to 147... Weak sauce...ANd el Gordo Jr. barely makes weight at 160, how is he gna make a catch weight at 158, guy is overrated as they come... His reign will be over... He will never be the warrior like his dad or other Mexican fighters like Arce, Marquez or even Morales....Ginger boy and El Perrita is not gna happen anytime soon... PErrita KO's this kid quick... Too much power in his right hand, but slow as a turtle.... Anyone who is a boxer puncher beats both of these guys for sure...

what he means is the garbage ranked WBC fighters.

              1. Vanes but he's facing a tomato can Gutierrez

              2. Angulo, nope he looks like he facing Kirkland in NOV

              3. Wolak, has a fight in Madison Square garden in DEC opponent TBA

              4. Damian Jonak is fighting Alex Bunema

              5. Paul Williams, it's possible since he's shot

              6. Erislandy Lara is too good, so it won't be him

              7. Alfonso Gomez, he just beat him

              8. Yudel Jhonson, he's cuban so he's probably too good.

              9. Alfonso Mosquera is free and has been KOed 4 times, he fits the bill

              10. Ryan Rhodes, he already beat him.

after the break down I'm thinking it's Paul Williams. he's shot to **** but he's still enough of a name for it to be some what creditable. if it's not Williams it's Alfonso Mosquera in Mexico.

Erislandy Lara is free but way too much of a risk. for such a protected fighter like Canleo.

Canelo and Jr. NEED to step it up. Especially Jr.

Canelo took on Rhodes but took a major step back with Gomez.

Who else is there to fight at 154?

If he fights a lesser known name. Just gonna be the same thing over again. He needs to step it up. Well who is there to fight? Margarito/Cotto winner?
