If Lennox's fight with Vitali lasted another round, Lewis would've been knocked out. He was done for. The cut stoppage saved his title. He knew he was beat and that's why he retired.

Vitali had been preparing for LL for nearly two years so the 10 days was nothing to him.
There was no way he was going through that hell again... funny how Vitali with half his face slashed was the one who was willing to go through that again... For Vitali it wasn't about the WBC belt LL had... it was all about who was holding it... he knew he'd get that belt eventually fighting someone else but was determined to get it from LL.... ThAT TO ME shows the incredible heart of Klitschko & how he thinks & knows that NO one in the history of boxing can beat him without cuts & shoulder separations.
Vitali KNEW all along he was better than Lennox & when he actually fought him it confirmed that belief. Vitali knows if he can outbox & outslug Lewis.... there is NO ONE ON THIS EARTH capable of competing with him & that includes the little bro... he'd rough him up & manhandle the bro.

Regarding Vitali vs Lewis fight: ha-ha ;-) I wish Lennox Lewis would comment him being knocked down by Vitali in the 1st round or about losing on all three score cards by the time of stoppageAnd about retiring quite early before giving Vitali a desired rematch.

U guys ***** when a legend stays in the game for too long and gets whooped, and if doesn't take the punching bag way you still talk ****. Lennox is a smart man, had a great career and stopped when he should've stopped.
A done Lennox lewis was still > prime Vitali. That's the bottom line.
Now he's confident, impossible to hit, has decent hand speed, and lures people into making dumb mistakes.
Today's Vitali would demolish the prime Lewis. Plus, everyone knows Lewis was better at 34 than he was at 24. He too, started out awkward.
Also, let me ask you ******s this: Why was Vitali so eager for a rematch despite the severe cuts? Despite going against the champ on 10 days notice, he still had a lead on all 3 judges scorecards when it ended. If Lennox was better, why didn't he take a rematch? It's because he felt Vitali, and knew what would happen with a full camp of preparation. He'd suffer a loss to the older Klistchko that he wouldn't avenge...
As to the Tyson fight: Lewis, you are an idiot. Tyson never ducked you. Had he never fired Rooney and the people who helped make him, he doesn't go to prison, and you get your shot somewhere around 1994-1996. Guess what? That version of Tyson lays you out cold. As it stands, he was serving a prison sentence when you were making your ascension, and then was a shell of his former self after serving.
You beat a 35 year old Tyson who hadn't taken a fight seriously in nearly 10 years. Good job.Last edited by Brassangel; 09-25-2011, 10:50 AM.

Lennox had tremendous punching power. 1 punch from LL is like 10 of Vitali's hardest rights. In the Briggs fight, Vitali loaded up on 171 power shots and couldnt floor Briggs once.
Just imagine if Lennox hit Briggs 171 times in the face? How many times over do you think he wouldve died?
Its like comparing a hammer to an Anvil.
