I agree. I'll definitely wait fo that one.
Only Klitszcho fanbois who get themselves wet will buy Vitali vs Rahman. Them idiots, wastin money. Donate it to ta charity or sum shyt ratha than watchin Vitali's naked body move around ta ring foos!
Say good bye to pay per views and you will basically be saying good bye to being able to watch any fight with genuine substance on the television again. Youll have to shell out hundreds of dollars to sit in the nose bleed sections to see the fight.
With what these headline fighters are being paid now a days, and I believe that they deserve every penny if not more, the regular network television stations can not afford the rates.
The last fight that I remember watching on regular television was when Bronco McCart fought Winky Wright for the WBO title like 10 or 12 years ago.
I have never once paid for a pay per view fight, but thats just me.
So far this year I have bought Trinidad-Wright, Mayweather-Gatti, Hopkins-Taylor and Corrales-Castillo 2.
I will probably buy Hatton-Mausa and I will definately get Hopkins-Taylor 2 if the place that showed Jones-Tarver 3 for free doesn't do that again.
I don't really like spending $50 every month or so, but its so damn hard not to. One thing about me though is I will not buy **** cards that are ridiculously overpriced like Rahman-Barret and Rahman-Klitschko.
I will probably buy 4-6 PPVs next year. The great thing is two of HBO's PPV cards will be De La Hoya fights and I damn sure know of a bar that will get those so I don't have to spend my money on them.
Boxing just doesn't have the draw for television. Look at the superbowl. How many millions of dollars are spent by advertisers. That will never happen with boxing. Because for starters like the Tyson PPV's the averaged less than 3 rounds. (rough guess, no facts) No advertiser wants to gamble with their money like that.
PPV's will stay around because people are willing to pay for em. And its the only way to put together a card anymore for a title holder. Everybody thinks they should make a million each time they step in the ring. Granted the cost isn't that big of a deal if you get quite a few people to chip in. But if you dont... It kinda sucks.
I hate PPV's and have not bought any for quite a while. I can wait a week and save 50 bucks.Usually the fights rarely are as good as you hoped.
sorry i didn't vote, some people or corp. earn from p4p and i think it's legitimate and we should give that to them. what i disagree with is, putting some boring fights at p4p ex: briggs vs mercer, i think you guys can add to this
