    Mayweather-Guerrero in early 2012???

Not Spring 2012, but in January or something. Floyd has indicated that he wants to fight more often in the last couple years of his career, and Schaefer said that Floyd will fight 3-4 more times in the next 18 months and call it a career. I know Guerrero is coming off an injury, but dude has serious skills. He's a crafty Southpaw, and IN MY OPINION, he would have beat Maidana.

Floyd only had 4 rounds of work against Ortiz, and I could potentially see him coming back in January 2012 for a fight 4 months from now. That would leave him enough time to fight again in May or June, 4-5 months later, against Pacquiao or Khan. Robert Guerrero has indicated that he would love to fight Mayweather, and who else would Floyd be able to land a fight with in January, another tune-up before Pacquiao???

Also, Guerrero is a really good fighter and in his prime, another shot he could take at Manny Pacquiao, who hasn't fought someone considered in their prime since Solis in 07'.

What would you think of Floyd taking more of a "keep busy" fight against Guerrero in January 2012???

Guerrero is tight and all but come on son are you freakin serious? He hasn't even fought an elite fighter himself yet and he's coming off pretty serious surgery (rotator cuff injuries are no joke) not to mention he's never even fought at 140 pounds or higher.

naw, i don't think it'll happen. i think guerrero won't have a scheduled fight untill march/april, if not later. guerrero also was planning on moving up to 140 from 135 in the maidana fight, his debut fight that didn't happen. so i can't picture him going from 135 to 140+ coming off an injury. i think a bradley fight would be better, but even then, i don't think it'll happen until april or may.

I like Guerrero, who is the same height as Floyd but smaller in frame. His is a lightweight. Can't see this fight happening. It's too much weight for Guerrero to climb.

Agree. I was just saying it because Guerrero came out publicly and said he's heeling fine and wants to fight in early 2012. It would probably be at a catchweight of 144, like Mayweather-Marquez. I wasn't suggesting it, I was responding to what Guerrero said yesterday.

Also, I would only see it is as possibility if Floyd really wanted to keep busy and fight again in January. That's all.

I like Guerrero but no. Floyd won't fight again for a while (no way in 4 months). If he does fight again the guy says it takes 6 months (I might be wrong with that amount of time) to build a PPV event.

So sadly either way, Floyd will not be back in the ring anytime soon.

Floyd should fight Pacquiao or Martinez. Other fights aren't nearly as compelling.
