I say even to a slight favor of Jones winning.

    Explanation:

    Even in terms of:
    • Both Berto and Jones has a history of gassing out in a match.
    • Both of them are not really power punchers against higher caliber boxers. Put a fighter who can take a shot and most likely they won't be kayoing the guy out.

    Slight favor in Jones winning:
    • Jones fought a game Soto-Karass who is known for being a heavy hitter and surviving and barely winning the fight. In a rematch, Jones showed better stamina and skills in outboxing Soto-Karass to a decision win.
    • Jones is fighting another heavy hitter in Sebastian Lujan. Top Rank is really increasing Jones' competition if he really has what it takes to be a champion and not lose easily against heavy hitters.
    • Jones is not a sloppy fighter. He has a very good jab that keeps opponents off-balance and he has good combinations with him too. Unlike Berto, when he faces a stiff competition he clinches, headbutts, and has a hard time adjusting to a tough opponent.
    • Jones doesn't show fear or easily rattled if he can't handle an opponent. He is still able to listen and comprehend his trainer's advices. Unlike Berto, who went glass-eyed when he faces a tough opponent and just start doing whatever to win.
    • Jones is still undefeated and getting better. He still has that confidence of him being unbeatable. He is invincible in his mind which is good confidence booster. So, he is capable of taking much greater risk to go for a knockout and win. However, he is also a veteran and smart enough to know when not to take a risk which he learned in his fight against Soto-Karass.

I change my mind. Jones win hands down. Unless, Berto fights dirty and takes it to the "streets."

Jones has the physical attributes to be the most dangerous welterweight. But until he proves that he is,we can't say he's better than a guy like Berto who is now a 2 time champion. I'd like to see him get his shot & if Khan touches down at 147, Jones should be his man.
