This is no shock, for years everyone has said Pac was being treated like a puppet. Bob's been stealing his money. Wasn't too long ago people where making fun of Floyd for having "finical issues"..

The positions Koncz holds is essentially a conflict of interest. Which is explained below...

Basically the promoter plays the part of a venture capitalist. They are basically just putting money up front and hoping to make a generous return of the fighters hard work. Fighters probably would be better off directly negotiating with HBO, Showtime, and others. TR and GBP do nothing but spread propaganda and hold up the fights that we want to see.

The problem is... To put on a fight card, a manager needs a promoters' license, essentially making the manager a promoter, disqualifying him from being able to manage a fighter because it's a conflict of interest and against the Ali act.

Also, you become subject to different rules, regulations, and fees as a promoter. Haymon has enough of a stable and connections to become a promoter and he's essentially a co-promoter without the name, but he doesn't want to take on those responsibilities.

Koncz is Pacquiao's manager/adviser and runs MP Promotions (which is in Pacquiao's name, so Koncz' being his manager can't be considered a CoI), so even though MP Promotions doesn't promote Pacquiao, he's in a position of power (Pacquiao's lawyer has to be involved in some form or another too). Don and Carl King would rob fighters blind because of this (Don as the promoter and Carl as the manager).
