isn't mercante the fool that told clottey to act like a champion after getting bodyslammed by cotto? no thanks he's a tard. he should act like a ref and punish blatant fouls.

Clottey jumped on Cotto like spiderman, Cotto pushed him off.

Clottey pretended to be injured and the ref told him to shake that **** off, and box or gtfo!.

i remember the corner trying to tell him that it was them...and even if that is the case, why let a fighter on one leg keep taking a beating. he has no power so there goes the "punchers chance" and cotto was dominating. "i dont want you to lose like that" isnt a good excuse. isnt it a refs job to protect the fighters

I told him, ‘I didn’t throw that towel in there to undermine your authority. I threw that towel in there to get your attention, so that you would either evaluate it and stop it, disqualify us or whatever the case may be,’ ” Grier said. “I had informed the officials, and there were three of them in my corner, that I wanted the fight stopped. Then one of the officials attempted to try and get Mercante’s attention. They could not do it. Then I said to the official, ‘I’m going to throw the towel in.’ He said, ‘Go ahead.’ So I threw it in.
“I just don’t understand why it was such a big deal. Was it an ego thing? Did [Mercante] feel as though I was taking his authority away? You can’t do that. You can’t do that to a corner. A corner knows what’s going on. What if that last hook [in the ninth round] went to Yuri’s temple? We’d all be talking about a different story this morning, because Yuri might be in a coma. This is ridiculous. This never should’ve gone that far.”
