The Corner denied ever throwing the towel, asked Foreman if he wished to continue, Foreman said yes, kicked everyone outta that damn ring, and let it continue, he beasted that moment and took control.Comment

Clottey jumped on Cotto like spiderman, Cotto pushed him off.
Clottey pretended to be injured and the ref told him to shake that **** off, and box or gtfo!.Comment

i remember the corner trying to tell him that it was them...and even if that is the case, why let a fighter on one leg keep taking a beating. he has no power so there goes the "punchers chance" and cotto was dominating. "i dont want you to lose like that" isnt a good excuse. isnt it a refs job to protect the fightersComment

I told him, ‘I didn’t throw that towel in there to undermine your authority. I threw that towel in there to get your attention, so that you would either evaluate it and stop it, disqualify us or whatever the case may be,’ ” Grier said. “I had informed the officials, and there were three of them in my corner, that I wanted the fight stopped. Then one of the officials attempted to try and get Mercante’s attention. They could not do it. Then I said to the official, ‘I’m going to throw the towel in.’ He said, ‘Go ahead.’ So I threw it in.
“I just don’t understand why it was such a big deal. Was it an ego thing? Did [Mercante] feel as though I was taking his authority away? You can’t do that. You can’t do that to a corner. A corner knows what’s going on. What if that last hook [in the ninth round] went to Yuri’s temple? We’d all be talking about a different story this morning, because Yuri might be in a coma. This is ridiculous. This never should’ve gone that far.”Comment
