    WINKY WRIGHT flawless technique

"DAMM THIS GUYS GOOD" is wut i said to myself as i wuz watching

the fighter i idolized 4 years and years, get tic tac toed

    all night long.(TITO)

i kno tito could have done better he didn't look sharp at all

in that fight, and had no power wut so ever.....but as tito

being my 1st or 2nd favorite boxer 2 watch.....i say

"theres no way he could be winky" unless winky made a mistake

and tito he knocked him out, but that would never happen.

Winky's style is one of, if not the most borin styles to watch

but if there ever a such thing as a perfect way to fight it

would be the way he fights, his technique is virtually flawless.

Im not sayin he's perfect or that its flawless EVERYONE CAN BE

BEATEN its the name of the game..but he's virtually perfect

and i dont think he can be beaten by any1 i see.

    im out

ps. i jus wanted 2 right sumthin about winky he is a gr8 fighter

Winky Wright is the most effective fighter at what he does, that I've ever seen. His style is like a tank and it takes tremendous disipline to fight the way he does, yet its a remarkably simple style. Its basically his jab and and his straight left hand and keepng his guard up.

But its his timing that is so impressive, the man is like a metronome.

The only way I see people beating Winky is too throw a flurry of punches and then move away, or swarm him like a Ricky Hatton, constant pressure to throw off his timing.

I'm surprised Sugar Shane did not imploy the former strategy more effectivley, although Winky is the natuarlly bigger man and Shane was and is way out of his prime.

I also respect Bitchnard "The Energizer Bunny" Bitchkins. He's not the executioner, he runs like a bunny. He keeps going going going.

Good post and I agree. Although I think it would take an incredible amount of sustained pressure for the Hatton kind of style to work because as soon as you let up and let Winky establish his jab, you're finished.

It would be very hard to stay on top of him for 3mins every round because Winky's defence is too good to allow that to happen. He's such a smart fighter that he would be able to fight his way around it and eventually control the fight. He's got great ring generalship and he's always able to overcome pressure and establish his own rythem.

As for the poll itself, I don't know how much Mayweather could bring at 154 to challenge him. Cotto and DLH would pose no threat at all to Winky imo, they're aren't big enough to challenge him at 160 not to mention Winky's skill is superior to both.

In terms of true middleweights, I think Winky has too much skill for Taylor. Both have great jabs, but Winky is has the better defence and would be able to outbox him. Winky wouldn't fall behind like Bernard did and would establish control with his jab and just keep the younger man on the defensive.

i voted for a prime de la hoya.
