Is 24/7 the x-factor? I don't know...How much PPV sells does it boost? Not sure. But, I feel that it should be pointed out though.
Funny when you talk about greatness things become a lot less clear, excuses start to pop up: Well back then, they didn't have this and that. Greatness is subjective and really pointless to discuss, there's no way to be objective.

Floyd is either past DLH in ppv #s or very soon will be.

I believe Oscar has sold more but I don't know the exact nubmers. Certainly Floyd is up there.

        Can someone get the numbers?

The real question should be DLH or Pac and even then its not a fair question because DLH's career is finished whereas Pac isn't even in his prime yet.

At the age of 32 (Pac's age) his total PPV's sold **** on both Floyds and Oscars

Pac is gonna sell over 2 million PPV's this year and it will be his 3rd year in a row

and p.s. Pac is fighting in a recession. De la hoya was fighting when the economy was the best it ever was

I read somewhere that Oscar has made more money than any other boxer in history.

WE have to only look at the PPV generation and I think Oscar still has the edge but with Floyd having big money possible fights with Khan, Pacquiao, Martinez, Cotto, and Canelo in the future he might be the PPV king of all time. IMO Tyson is still the biggest thing to happen to boxing and will always be remembered more than any other fighter besides possibly Ali.

But back to Oscar and Floyd, it's a very intriguing discussion. One must also note that Floyd wouldn't be half the draw he is today had he not fought Oscar (same goes for Manny). But Floyd is doing insane numbers and will likely shatter their record when/if he fights Pacquiao. Another thing worth noting is that nobody ever recognized Oscar as the best (just very popular and usually noted as one of the best) and he lost his 0 when he fought Tito, yet he still put up crazy numbers. Floyd relies a lot on him being the best, being undefeated, and people wanting to see him lose. If you compare them, they're polar opposites when it comes to the way they have marketed their careers.
