I hope people remember that Saul Alvarez being on the card probably added at the minimum 300,000 PPV buys. He's becoming a huge draw among Mexicans. I expect the final numbers to be around 1.3 million which is damn good for a PPV!Comment

LMAO at Alvarez adding 300,000 PPV buys! If he was doing that number he would be headlining ppvs already! Anything to discredit Floyd I guess. Truth is Morales aint a ppv draw. His last ppv did only 50,000 buys and Alvarez is a young pup. Floyd was the 95% of the draw. People bought the ppv to see Floyd and the few thousand(less than 100,000) that were on the fence may of bought it to see if Alvarez could take the next step.Comment

the question is how many of those 300k would have bought the ppv anyway. i think the fight won't break the 1,7 mark, the reason is not good enough matchups ,which would spark more *general* public interest. ortiz, gomez and cano are practically nobodies.
1,3 is a pretty rock solid number these days ....... your typical everyday boxing ppv buyers.Comment

People need to really sit back and think about how they judge Alvarez. Yes, he does good numbers on FREE tv but if people were willing to shell out real money to watch him fight, he'd be on PPV. Alvarez on the card didn't really add any new consumes. What he did add was people that were so/so on the fight, it gave them extra incentive to see another star. Majority of the buyers, a huge percentage of them(95%) were going to get the card with or without Alvarez.
If Alvarez was on a Pac/Marquez card then that ppvs gotta do like 1.7 million right? Think how ****** that sounds.Comment
