Why is a ref making 2 million for a fight and they're not even fighting? And most people think he is a **** ref as of lately. Over paid ref.

Question is why didnt we hear the bell closing out the round? (not sayin you can be saved by the bell) What I am saying is if time was in were was the bell to end the round

So that would mean, an apology, Two hugs and Two Cheap shots all went down in less than one second?

Time was NOT in because Had time been in, the bell would have rang...

We never heard that, and the reason those three commands exisist are beause this is a global sport, Not saying that Ortiz doesnt speak or understand english what I am saying is those commands are placed in force because there are lanuage barriers, its the universal language of the sport

He did say lets go and when a ref says that after a point deduction and motions the fighters together at the same time , its fight time and only an **** fool would twist it to mean something else ,,,,, the other point is Floyd would never get caught like that he is focused in the fight at all times not off in fairyland lol , geeez Ortiz was looking right at Floyd when he got hit with the left hook , Floyd did what he is trained to do ,its not the most honorable ending but it takes nothing away from Floyd the fighter , he looked brilliant in there and was on the way to a KO anyway .

You're missing the point...read his interview. He admitted that he never gave any verbal instructions...that suggests that "let's go" was not an instruction to the boxers but rather...to the time-keeper...which changes everything.

Look at the job he did in the bowe holyfield fight he let Bowe hit Evander low all night, and in the 11th allowed Bowe to hit Holyfield in the back of the head and he ruled it a knock down.

Look at Holyfield vs Ruiz 2, he ruled a clean body shot landed on ruiz a low blow, allowed Ruiz to intentionally hit Evander Low

I posted a thread like this at ESB, along with the rules from the ABC describing the responsibilitys that a ref has when taking a point and how he is to conduct himself
The rules clearly point out a violation on behalf of Mr Cortez, and after exposing this to their forum, a Floyd fan got all butt hurt and asked RDJ to delete the thread.

If that's Cortez' side he's really out of it...the last 2 things he does, after the fighters are put in a neutral corner is to signal time in and the to the fighters, "box". He totally blew it...great HOF ref...do us a favor Joe, you and Mora retire, you're hurting this great sport...

Cortez is losing it as a HOF ref....he should retire!!!

Gesturing is not enough to continue the fight, as the referree in charge he should have made sure that his intention to resume the fight is seen and acknowledge by both fighters.....

Saying "Let's Go" is just preparatory for the fight to resume but it does not mean that the two boxers should begin to slug it out.....he sould have said....FIGHT or BOX!!!!

THE FIGHT SHOULD BE DECLARED A NO-CONTEST!!!!
