Do any fight fans disagree it should be a NC seeing how Cortez is saying he never said fight on? Technically they were still on break.

Ortiz lost his belt because the ref ****ed up, but then again he probably would have lost it anyways because Floyds so much better then him.

I really did feel that Ortiz did not know the fight was on because he was looking at Cortez waiting for him but oh well it happened.On another note why were two world class refs on the undercard in weeks and bayless

Ortiz and his camp should appeal it now. He'll get his belt back and the fight will be ruled a NC. We know Floyd was probably going to win the fight anyways but the ref is now saying he never told the fighters to fight on. Which means Floyds punch was illegal.

I think Cortez might be retiring soon, don't know who wants him to be a ref now after this just came out.

He showed honor in telling the truth but it could hurt his reputation as a ref.

Watch it again. He says "Let's go" and waves them in. Mayweather saw it, Ortiz saw it.
