In a very unfortunate situation, WBO #3 ranked middleweight talent Max Bursak (22-0-1, 8 KOs) of Kiev, Ukraine, saw his fight against Ghanaian Laatekwei Hammond (18-5, 11 KOs) cancelled, after the African boxer sustained a deep cut over his left eye in one of his recent sparring sessions. Hammond, 31, will be out of action for about a month and has no chance to recover in less than a week.
