I am sure Lennox would have even done better in a rematch if Vitali would of taken it. In the second half of their first fight Lewis had Vitali figured out and the rematch would just been a continuation.

So why didn't he just train properly and silence all doubters in the rematch? Would be a career high payday, an easy job too in the own words of Lennox. Why not?

He didn't need to or have the motivation. It'd be different if he'd lost. He'd already achieved everything he'd wanted which was a legendary career and as a bonus he ripped up Vitali's face after coming out of semi-retirement.

Everybody wanted a rematch and Lennox even agreed with Larry ringside that he would fight him again, immediately after the fight.

Lennox, in the very same interview with Larry, said he would fight Vladimir too.

If only Davey would of fought him instead of backing out and fighting Valuev instead

Lewis was in camp for another fight with Kirk Johnson if memory serves me. So if he was out of shape, whose fault is that? He had a full training camp, Vitali took it on 2 weeks notice.

It was a good fight Vitali was winning and he lost due to a cut. They both said they wanted a rematch to settle the score, the fans wanted it and for one reason or another Lewis denied us of that.
This excuse always makes me chuckle. Are we supposed to believe that Vitali Klitschko, just getting into the rythm of his career was always not in supreme condition? Are we supposed to believe that he's not thinking about Lennox Lewis every single day of his training camp? Lennox Lewis - the undisputed champ of his era? Same way people are training to fight Wlad today, in their minds.

Lewis was at fault for his own shape, but he was in bad shape. He moved like a damn zombie in the ring. Compare that to the Tyson fight. And he hadn't even thought about fighting Klitschko as that fight was put to bed when his broadcaster didn't accept the terms of the fight initially.

Klitschko had been training for Lewis for a long time, and he gave a good fight.

Fact is that the worst Lewis beat the best Klitschko.

The same Wladimir who, weeks later, was knocked out by Corrie Sanders.

Funny you haven't come back to me on that point...

Instead, you spout moronic lines like:

                      'Lewis ducked Wladimir'
