Yeah Ortiz was so in control he got frustrated and tried a flying headbutt, be real sure Ortiz wasnt doing to bad he was applying pressure but he had Floyd in the corner with nowhere to go and couldnt connect with a decent shot, thats why he tried the butt which lead to him getting ktfo, who knows had he been able to stay clam anything could have happend but he was frustrated hitting thin air time and time again, i personaly would like to see a rematch just to see how it would have panned out but i think he was getting out boxed and was always going to lose, but you never no and im not a floyd fan but he was struggling and his actions prove this.

if this Knock out was so legit, Explain why the WBO has removed Cortez as the third man in the ring for an up comming fight and replaced him with Byrd..

And the WBO stated the reason they removed him is because of the Ortiz Mayweather fight...

This is an orginazation in the sport, they are a big part of boxing bigger than you and I are, and they feel different than you do I wonder why? Can you explain why they removed Cortez and why they are agreeing he ****ed up in this fight?

I am talking about the knock-outs. Nothing more, nothing less.

Protect yourself at all times. I know you know this. Victor Ortiz ******ly dropped his hands and then after getting hit with the left hook for support (why he was looking for support I will never know because he KNOWS that he is to defend himself unless the ref calls time) he still didn't guard his grill, he continued to look at Joe Cortez for help.

If a goal keeper in soccer or hockey all of the sudden skates off the field or ice to grab a quick saltine cracker because his sodium levels are down should I not shoot it on net?

Floyd was not sportsmanlike but that is the only thing he is guilty of. The knockout was clean and legit and I am sure Victor thinks the same thing.

They removed him because women like you are still complaining about it and they don't want the controversy even though it was legal, give the women what they want is what they prbly said.

Cortez did not follow protocal I have been over this dozens of times here there is a protocal he must follow when calling time.

He failed to do that, Floyd admitted he never heard Cortez say anything and the post fight presser and followed up with what goes around comes around, meaning Floyd threw with out giving a **** if time was in or not.

When Cortez said lets go, that is not the command to use when you have called time and taken a point
you must secure a safe distance between the fighters
inform the judges of the infraction and deduct a point.
Usher the offending boxer back to his neutral corner
            Call time in
            command box
He did not do it in that order which is why he was talkin to the time keeper when Floyd threw those cheap shots. and rather than to be a man and admit he ****ed up, he robbed this kid of his title.
Bottom line the WBO knows this, which is why he has been replaced, dont come here and compair soccer to this sport, the rules and guidelines are much different.
and there are referee guidelines that are required to be followed by federal law, and in those guidelines it states that a referee is to discuss the commands and hand signals he will be using during the fight and that all parties must be on the same page....
clearly Cortez, The time keeper, Ortiz and Floyd were all on a different page when this **** happend.
Protect yourself at all times I hear ya, but then again there are rules that are supposed to be followed when deducting a point and in this fight they were not.

Again Floyd even admitted he never heard Cortez say a god damn thing, so that in itself tells me Floyd fouled back and was willing to take a DQ loss if it came to that.

Strong arguement, I am sure it took each and every little brain cell of yours to put this together

They did say Cortez should've handled it better but he did say" lets go" and that's all that really matters. Floyd was wanting to fight while Ortiz was looking for a way out. The WBO does not feel Mayweather did anything wrong or I'm sure they'd rule it a no contest and order a rematch.

To be honest, Cortez is at fault here not Floyd and not Ortiz, but why should either guy have a L on their record because of referee failing to follow the protocal here?

Thats my arguement, Nobody was clear if time was in, and it costed Ortiz his title, costed the fans of what appeared to be leading up to a very interesting Challenge for Floyd.

The bottom line here is, Lets Go is not part of the code of conduct, its not in the referees guidelines, when you look at those rules there is a series of steps you are supposed to follow when you call time to take a point for an intentional foul and those steps were not conducted in the order in which the rules state they should be

cheers bro, I didn't think hardly anyone read my posts!

Anyway, you've said you don't like the word 'if', but I am acknowledging that Floyd dominated the first three rounds of the fight. Had it ended there, many people would not feel quite as robbed, however in Round 4 the fight was getting good, it was getting competitive and crucially it was getting exciting.

Even if you believe Floyd won Round 4, it was not as dominant as the previous three rounds and it was Ortiz's best round of the fight. For the fans it was a bad time for it to end like it did.

I think Jerry Roth has a bit more experience in scoring bouts he gave round 1 to Ortiz

Harold Lederman gave the 2nd round to Ortiz

Your sayin Floyd dominated the first three rounds, yet I am confident that your credentials do not even come close to either experts credentials just a hunch..

You also controdict yourself, you cant say Floyd dominated then turn around and say it was competetive
