      Of course it's legal. where in the rules does it say to touch gloves? In most gyms Fighters are taught to open up with a punch as soon as your opponent tries to touch gloves, even during sparring. All of this love topping and hugging starts in 1 place and 1 place only - the gym. It's a fight.. be friends AFTER the fight.

      So when you guys bash a person like James Kirkland for being an ****** in sparring, you need to understand that ****** will appear in an actual fight too. That's how he trains. He simulates the fight.

      Too many fighters have gotten too accustomed to their friendly sessions in camp.

              they already touched gloves when being instructed by the ref..

              boxers should always remember this fight as a warning.. imagine if this will happen on a PPV fight.. damn!!!
