    WTF?

Bowe was a nobody before he fought Holyfield. He was his sparring partner, and was considered a tuneup for him to walk right through.

I would go with Tyson,at the time i thought Holyfield was just about finished and he came up with a great win like that. The Bowe win was good too,but the delay due to the idiot with the parachute sort of spoiled the moment imo.

Tyson. No one thought he would win, and he dominated. Can't top that.

He fought a way out of prime George Foreman and Larry Holmes
so I dont give Holyfield any credit for that.

He beat James 'Buster Douglas he was a nobody until he knocked out
Tyson, and everyone started saying the guy is good.

He fought Ruiz when Holyfield, himself was way out of his Prime, I
Think he was 40 at that time.

I haven't seen the Bert Cooper or Dwight Muhammad Qawi fights but
              I heard they were good.

I dont think James Toney should get much credit for beating an old
and washed up Holyfield, Holyfield was 41 when he fought him.

I like Toney, Hes my favourite, but he still should'nt get credit
for that, Bowe beat Holyfield early in Holy's prime and that
guy does'nt get any credit and is still underrated.

Now coming to all of this I think His biggest win was against
              Mike Tyson or Rid**** Bowe.

Mike Tyson who at that time was the biggest threat in boxing, and
everyone predicted Tyson would win by KO in round 5,6,7 or 8 people
were saying Holyfield wont go past Round 8 because Tyson would be
Brutal with him. Yet holyfield won.

The second fight was'nt impressive because Tyson bit Holyfields ear.
The reason he bit his ear was'nt because he was reacting to headbutts
It was actually because Tyson knew he was losing and thought this
fight would end up like the first one, so rather than getting
beaten by Holyfield he let Holyfield win by Disqualification rather
              than a TKO.

Rid**** Bowe won the Trilogy against Holyfield, Rid**** Bowe is really
tough, I think Bowe won all 3 fights against Holyfield but the
judges Gifted 1 fight to Holyfield and the Results were

              Jerry Roth 113-115 - Holyfield
              Patricia Jarman 114-115 - Holyfield
              Chuck Giampa 114-114 - DRAW

Therefore Holyfield had this win by MD.

The 2 Other fights Rid**** Bowe won by:

              Chuck Giampa 115-112 - Bowe
              Jerry Roth 117-110 - Bowe
              Dalby Shirley 117-110 - Bowe

              Rid**** Bowe by UD

The second Fight, Rid**** Bowe won by TKO in Round 8

              Rid**** Bowe by TKO

I'm not saying Rid**** Bowe was the best, but he did Unify the titles
and did win the WBC,WBO,WBA,IBF, all 4 titles in his career.

Before beating Holyfield he also won against

Pinklon Thomas - TKO in Round 9
Bert Cooper - KO in Round 2
Tyrell Biggs - TKO in Round 8
Bruce Seldon - KO in Round 1
Michael Dokes - TKO in Round 1 (WBA & IBF TITLE)

              And after the Holyfield fights

Herbie Hide - KO in Round 6
Jorge Luis Gonzales - KO in Round 6

Both Hide and Gonzales were undefeated before fighting Bowe.

Therefore I think Holyfields biggest won was either The first Tyson
fight or the Gifted decision he got against Rid**** Bowe.

You're not serious, are you ?

"Tune-up" fights, back in the early 90's, did not make it to pay-per-view.

The odds were pretty damn close going in.....Bowe was viewed as a serious threat.

The thought among most people in the know was that Bowe was going to beat Holy period. Bowe kicking Evander's ass was expected or at least how I recall it.

I thought so..& it had as much to do with Holyfield looking very beatable against Foreman, Cooper, Holmes, prior to facing Bowe....as it did Bowe's prowess.
Bowe could look excellent in some matches (KO's of Cooper, Marin, Seldon, Biggs) & then ordinary in others (Coetzer, Tubbs).

I still remember Larry Merchants opening line which was along the lines of how experts believe that by the end of the night we will have a new HW champ.
