  • J Cortez....the debate.....did he or didnt he?

There seems to be a lot of back and forth on if Cortez called time in or not.....now I don't claim to know if he did or not or what he said or didn't say.....pretty hard to tell from all I've seen so far

then I came across this pic......

now I ask.....does this look like a ref who is ready to resume the fight??? no flame....just asking........wachugot?

Joe Cortez did say to fight, he motioned the fighters together with his hands & all. Anyone saying he didn't is full of ****. The problem is that after he told them to resume combat, he diverted his attention to the timekeepers. 99% of the time minus last weekend the ref's call time in 1st then order the fighters to resume combat. IMO it is the equivelent of telling the fighters to start fighting, then signaling the bell to begin a round, that kind of **** does not happen. Cortez hasn't ever done that as long as I could remember. It seems too coincidental to me.

who cares if he called time? everyone agrees he's a senile, decrepit old man.

the point is floyd pretended to hug ortiz n then slugged him. that is not a normal thing you see in boxing. stop pretending it happens all the time. LOL **** was funny.

Another fight where he looked lost and just started counting.

I'm clueless as to why this man is in so many high profile fights with the poor record he has.

            Yahoo
Talked to Keith Kizer of NV Commission. Cortez pointed to time keeper and said time in. Punches were legal, according to Kizer. #boxing

Stop whining! Joe Cortez is firm but fair, he did nothing wrong and Floyd KO'd Ortiz with legal punches.

              Get over it!

What makes its legal? Answer that and you end your debate.
