When a boxing historian looks at floyds career he will not be deluted of his greatness but he will be panalized for acts and those not taken. In Floyds career its not going to be tough to look at all the what ifs in his career.

Floyd said it best himself, about his actions "I am not fighting to prove to the boxing world who is the best!"

Even today when you mention Ray Leonard everybody brings up that he waited until Hagler was old to fight him, yet he fought him. The ducking of Pacquiao will always be remembered.

for the hardcore fans, floyd's legacy is intact. he will be remembered as one of the most accomplished and most skilled boxer in history.

however, for the casuals, i think floyd's legacy was a bit damaged this past saturday. if floyd never fights again, the last thing these casual fans will remember of floyd will be the sucker punch. sad but true.
