    Ortiz next fight?

First off all i have to say all this talk im seeing here about Ortiz quitting is a bit ridiculous. Its a bit rich for us sitting behind computer screens to call a fighter a quitter. It is fine to say anything critical about him he is a professional athlete after all but for what he does and after the Berto i think people here going over the top on this one.Anyway i read an article on yahoo about Ortiz and 5 possible opppnents one of them was the Berto rematch for me is the best choice Berto has a title there fight was a war and the winner becomes significant in the division again.Pacquaio and Mayweather are great great fighters being outclassed by either should not render you a bum so ortiz still has a lotta relevance in the divison to me

    1. Andre Berto: Ortiz defeated Berto in a close fight this April, the likely 2011 Fight of the Year. The win there earned him the Mayweather date. Berto has since picked up another welterweight title, and would love to erase that earlier loss. Ortiz meanwhile would look for a repeat performance and should pounce on the opportunity to face Berto again, with another title on the line.

    2. Amir Khan: Khan seems likely to move up to 147 lbs in short order, and he has his sights set on Mayweather. Facing Ortiz first would give his resume respectability at welterweight, and a win would set up the Mayweather fight. For Ortiz, he gets a chance at a big name, highly touted fighter with a weak chin waiting to be exploited if he can connect. Further, both were up and coming 140 lbers at the same time but never got the chance to fight one another at that weight. Khan vs. Ortiz at welterweight would be a great opportunity for each fighter to get in the limelight and earn a dance with one of the big boys.

    3. Mike Jones: The Philly-based welterweight prospect is undefeated, looking to land a fight against a big name, and would make for an intriguing and exciting encounter. Ortiz would go in with the knowledge that Jones can be drawn into a brawl when it doesn't serve his best interest, and would look to score a big knockout over an undefeated fighter to restore some luster to his own name.

    4. Timothy Bradley: Another junior welterweight with the intention of moving up in weight, Bradley vs. Ortiz would be an unpredictable clash of styles. Given Bradley's history of head butts and Ortiz's head-butt-heard-round-the-world, this one could get ugly in a hurry, but it's the kind of bout between young, talented, American fighters that doesn't happen frequently enough.

    5. Randall Bailey: One of the hardest punchers in the game, Bailey has established credibility at 147 lbs, and is actually the mandatory in line to face Berto. Facing Ortiz could be a logical money move for both men, with the winner getting Berto next. In a match between Ortiz and Bailey, somebody would end up knocked out… quickly and violently. Ortiz brings the superior skill set and attributes into the ring with him though, so it's a fight he should be eager to accept.

      Here's my opinion:
Berto is the strongest option, although the way he got that belt, he should rematch Zavec first.
Amir Khan is going to stay at 140 for at least one more fight (Peterson), there has been a possibility mentioned of a Morales unification in early 2012, so that's a second 140 fight possibility.
Mike Jones and Bradley are with Top Rank, not seeing that happen. Arum doesn't like to work with GBP, unless he's pressed against a wall. For Arum's showmaking, Ortiz is too much of a threat IMO.
Bailey? After Berto smashes him in 5, there won't be B left of Bailey.

I'm actually quite excited for the rest of Ortiz's career. Especially as he moves up in weight.
