    What's next for Tarver?

I was watching the Tarver - Jones 1 today when I was bored and I just realized what's next for Tarver?

Lacy can't move up to 175 because he is too green / hasn't beaten Calzaghe or the other champs yet. Tarver can go to cruiserweight but cruiserweight isn't a big draw at all so i'm sure he's missing out on a lot of money there. Heavyweight he could go but he would most likely be beaten pretty easily by any of the top 5-10 guys.

    What's next for Tarver?

It's a really good question, I don't think the Magic Man will get anywhere near the amount of money he would want to fight any of the light heavy's.

A good move finacially, although very unlikely, would be to try and get a fight with Calzaghe in England. The fight would be HUGE there, but with Joe's reluctantness to fight anybody, it would be very unlikely.

The only other fight worth making at this point would be the 3rd Glen Johnson fight.

Other than that, his only other options are the heavy's.

Tarver plans to go to theheavyweight classification and said HBO and his promoter are working on a possible Tyson fight in February or March. He plans to fight Tyson, James Toney and Vitali Klitschko before retiring within the next two years.

St. Petersburg super middleweight champion Jeff Lacy has recently challenged Tarver to a bout, but the soon-to-be-actor does not believe that fight will give him the guaranteed millions and international fame he is seeking.

"I am after the big killers in the heavyweight division. I want to retire as the heavyweight champion of the world," Tarver said. "I know when Tarver-Tyson is mentioned everybody gets excited because there is that unknown there. The unknown is can I beat a legitimate heavyweight? Can I take that punch? If I can, you're watching greatness in the making.

"The fight will give me what I want. It brings about the luster of boxing our sport is missing. If I can't beat Mike Tyson, I can't run with the big boys."

No one wants to see Glen Johnson - Antonio Tarver III to be fair though. Not taking anything away from Glen he is a class fighter, but this matchup is just boring. I'm thinking Tarver should go to heavyweight fight an unconfident Mccline or something. I dont know.

I have no desire whatsoever to see Antonio Tarver vs. Mike Tyson.

For Tarver to even call him out was sheer ******ity.

One thing is for sure is that with his points win against Jones ,to be the household name he wants to be, he needs to follow up with a win, unlike the his ko of Jones only to lose to Glen Johnson.

I know I've mentioned this a million times but I really want him to fight James Toney real bad.

Toney would deliver a sustained and terrible beating to Tarver.

It would be very entertaining to watch.
