why is everyone hating on joe cortez? wtf did he do wrong?

Cortez did nothing wrong, He signaled the fighters to re-engage in combat, then took his attention from the fighters to deal with timekeeping. Soon the fighters are gonna start fighting before the bell rings to begin combat. Ref's are supposed to call time in before signaling combat to resume. BTW, why did he flinch?

ah sht, i was thinkin it was legal now im see'ing this old sht was just motioning them in to call teh time in and then say "fight!/box!"

it's all right there, he keeps his left still inbetween them like he's preventing them from fighting still as he turns to the timekeeper to start and then most likely carrying on to say box, i've seen in many times before

but since floyd picked the ref, and when he turned he saw ortiz on the floor, decided to start counting like the corrupt idiot that he is

He was supposed to send them to neutral corners after the point deduction, then call time in (and do anything else he was doing when he looked away), THEN loudly say "fight" or "box" and don't look away when you're reffing, just like don't look away when you are fighting. That way you have no confusion and if Ortiz wants to hug, he fully realizes he's doing it at his own risk.
