Don't act as if Floyd hit Ortiz on the first apology

    So many generalize it:

Generalized: Ortiz went over to Floyd to apologize and Floyd KOed him on the first apology.
Fact: Floyd already accepted like 2-3 apologies, hugs, kisses, glove touches.

Generalize: Cortez never called the fighters to go ahead and fight
Fact: Cortez CLEARLY says "let's go" to the fighters, motioned his hands for them to come to the center of the ring and fight

Generalized: Ortiz thought the ref still had them break.
Fact: Cortez CLEARLY says lets go and motions to BOTH fighters to come to the center of the ring to fight and BOTH Ortiz and Mayweather follow those instructions because they BOTH heard Cortez say "lets go" where Ortiz then proceeds to give Mayweather ANOTHER hug and apology that Floyd accepts.

Generalized: Mayweather clocked Ortiz without being ready to fight.
Fact: True. Ortiz ******ly didn't prepare to fight after Floyd accepted his 4th apology and after Cortez clearly told them "let's go" to fight.

You shouldn't hit anyone when they're embracing you, a real Judas move.

You respect your opponent or people won't respect you.

agree with OP. Floyd already delt with multiple apologies. They were gestured to fight, only Floyd walked forward with his hands up. Ortiz was naive.

Floyd did not hit Ortiz DURING an embrace. Floyd and Ortiz had separated after their final embrace and after Cortez said let's go. Floyd went back into fighting stance, Ortiz lingered and Floyd fought.

Exactly. Ortiz was still in denial after the fight saying it wasn't intentional.

What wasn't intentional, the kiss on the cheek?

And then I see another broadcast where the commentators IMMEDIATELY assumed Floyd stepped on Ortiz's foot.

lol come on, he was literally a foot back from the embrace, wasn't looking and FMJ threw a left hand. Whatever way you spin it they were cheap, undefended shots.

Ortiz thought it was gonna be Pacquiao vs Mosley II with all the hugs and kisses. Mayweather put an end to that quickly.

                    I love Floyd.
