Larry Merchant hates black people, but lets be honest they don't give him a reason to like them.

I over heard someone in the crowd at Staples Center saying "I guess the lesson here is, never apologize to a black person"

I like Merchant. I didn't always. But he's very knowledgeable and he calls it as he sees it. He'll disagree with Lampley, RJJ or Steward if necessary. But I gotta agree with those who say he conducted Floyd's interview poorly. His bias was too blatant. He was almost grimacing as he congratulated Floyd. He never mentioned Ortiz's blatant head butt then went straight to the sucker punches. Floyd's ego couldn't deal with the scrutiny. Larry's "kick your ass" comment was priceless though.
