    Mike Tyson and the WBC?

Tyson beat Bruno for the WBC when he came out of the pen however according to the schedule below he looked as though he lost possession of it. Was he stripped of it at any point?

    1997-06-28 218 Evander Holyfield 218 33-3-0

Tyson disqualified for twice biting Holyfield's ears, claiming he was retaliating to headbutting by Holyfield.

He was stripped for refusing to face his mandatory challenger, which at the time I think was Lewis.

I think I answered my own question. Tyson won the WBC in March of 1996 however gave it up in order not to fight Lennox Lewis who I believe at the time was either the number one or number two contender for the WBC so Tyson went ahead and fought Seldon for the WBA won it and then fought Holyfield who at the time people thought was the easier fight for Tyson.

I thought he vacated after he beat seldon, cos he had paid lewis 4 million to allow him to fight seldon and he was introduced in the seldon match as being the wbc champ

Mike Tyson took the easy way out and bribed Lewis into not fighting him. Lewis is also a sell out ***** who is easily bribed. If I am not mistaken isn't it illegal to bribe someone? Both Tyson and Lewis should have been locked up for bribery.
