How? Maidana took some to give some. Only few punches landed on Floyd, and mostly none had that many effect on him since he rolled with them.

Don't recall Mayweather getting knocked down 3 times.

I entirely agree. Maidana stepped up and actually fought Ortiz and beat him on merit by hitting harder, taking Ortiz's punches and really showing what boxing is all about. Mayweather danced for 3 rounds then knocked someone out who wasn't looking. Any Mayweather fans (and there are so many on here) who wants to suggest Mayweather had the power to knock out Ortiz during the real fight is deluded. It took him two punched to knock him out, when his hands were down, his feet were flat, he was square on and not looking. And it took two punches. No power, no class. Martinez, Manny, Khan, and Maidana would each beat Maweather, and all 4 are capable are putting him on the floor. If he fights all 4 of them and beats them then maybe we can talk. In fact if he fights one of them in the next year and beats them I will admit he still has talent. But I haven't been impressed since he fought Hatton in 2007, and then it would have been different if Old man Cortez wasn't in the ring.

              yes...

He broke down Ortiz over several rounds and legitimately knocked him down.

Breaking down your opponent > Sucker punch

Think about how good Hatton did early on. Then think about how well Maidana can walk through shots and how hard he punches. Of course i'm not saying the possibility of him winning would be high(very low in reality) but styles make fights and he would make it one hek of a fight.
