First off, good topic! The **** hit the fan when Floyd clocked Ortiz. The boards are in panic right now.

Anyway, I honestly feel (and this is just me personally) that A LOT of people on sleeping on Márquez and I think he's going to surprise a lot of people, I really do. It's been at the very least TWO years since Pacquiao fought someone with technique, and that was Cotto who had decent boxing skills. Besides Cotto, who else gave Pacquiao problems...Márquez.

Márquez is not the same fighter, but I think that with the string of Clottey, Margarito, and "here for a paycheck" Mosley fights, Pacquiao may have fallen into a lull by becoming accustomed to easy fightesrs. I mean, well...Margarito busted him pretty bad, but that was more on weight advantage than anything. And to those saying that Márquez isn't as good at 144...of course not! But that fight with Floyd didn't help because Floyd is a better counterpuncher than Márquez. He's a CLEAN counterpuncher. He hits you but doesn't exchange. Márquez is also a monster counterpuncher, but he allows himself to get into exchanges and has to take some damage to do so.

Márquez is going to surprise people...I honestly believe that.

Aside from that, I nearly jizzed my pants when I saw HBO announcing Cotto/Margarito 2 in between the undercard fights last night. I am more pumped for that fight than ANYTHING this year...

IMO it all depends on how much marquez has left

i think he has morethan people expect

and i think it will be a close hard fight

but manny wins or get s a stoppage latter in the fight
