simply put, pacquiao will not be able to use all of his tools and abilities against a fighter like floyd and it'll be almost entirely due to their size and reach differences

pacquiao fans shouldn't even be mad about the fight turning out that way because it'll be almost completely due to size (of course, Floyd's brain also has a lot to do with it, he'll fight the correct "big mans fight", unlike what Shane did)

Manny is getting stopped. End of. And nothing that I saw last night makes me think that. I've been saying it since 09, actually. Floyd will smother Manny and hit him at will. He will fight Manny in close quarters and Manny won't at all be effective. Watch.

Yup. Floyd will be able to push Manny around basically.

Manny has about the same amount of chance as most opponents and that's slim. The only thing he has going is the punches from strange angles.
Which he needs Floyd to stand still in order to rotate around him and throw them. When he jump in and out with his first one-two combos to set up his multiple combos, and if his opponent/s don't bounce back, that's when he'll unleash his barrage of punches and wear his opponent out by throwing those angle punches after. He's great at closing the gap, but Floyd has great enough timing to make him reset his rhythm.

Yup and his reach and hand speed will cause a lot of trouble. He favors fighting those shorter than him. I dont understand how a guy get outboxed a few times and ppl think May cant outbox him. Manny hasn't seen a style that would cause him trouble without there being some stipulations since he's moved to WW. They're either too slow and flat footed for him or its going to be some catch weight b.s... or both

And he got on roids once he moved up. Dont front people

Whether you hate the guy, you have to really acknowledge of how he can fight as if he's a tall guy even though he isn't. He truly knows how to use his advantages effectively unlike other tall Boxers like, P-Williams, Yuri Foreman, ect.

Unlike Ortiz, Manny doesn't have to land flush to hurt opponents, can hurt his opponents without getting full leverage on his shots, and actually punches threw his opponents guard.

I can definitely see why Floyd won't fight Manny, and I pretty much gave up on the fight last night.

R.I.P. Manny vs Floyd.....fight will never happen, especially after hearing Floyd's post fight interview.

As much as I dislike the fight, looks like we are getting Pacquiao vs Bradley next spring, a retirement fight in the fall (probably against Alvarez) and Manny running for governor in 2013.
For the life of me I can not see how someone can watch a fight where a guy lands in single digits in each rounds and be confident that a smaller, shorter armed, lighter, and just as open defensively version of the fighter would do any better. You can't be serious. Watching Floyd walk down a taller, "middleweight", southpaw and throw a suprisingly 67 punches in round 4 while only being hit at a 18% clip had to be discouraging to any Pac fan. I've been reading these posts on the board today and it's a bunch of people on here trying to convince themselves that Ortiz did good against Floyd because they've been hyping this as a litmus test for how Floyd would fair against Pac. If any other fighter not named Floyd put on the performance he did last night, it would be praised. But since it's not...we have to settle for threads and post giving extra credit to a guy weighing 164 lbs being able to move Floyd to the ropes, or act like landing 9 punches in round 4 is "doing good". Oh well...time to uphold your end of the bargain in November, Pac.
