Cliche? It is a rule that is written in stone. It is a rule normaly announced by the referee in the prefight instructions. It is a rule taught in every boxing gym in the world. Protect yourself at all times!
Every time the referee calls stop it is time to put your fists down and maybe go over and give your opponent a hug and a kiss on the cheek. It was time to fight and Ortiz decided to be a gentleman in a dog fight to show remorse for the flagrant foul.
When it is time to be corgial Mayweather has always had a problem with that. The referee motioned for them to box, Mayweather having an ingrown fury that every dog has and did as any dog would, he fought.
In a combat situation if the enemy wants to give you a hug and a kiss are you not going to shoot him just because he's an idiot?
Don't bring a prom dress to a dog fight and protect yourself at all times..........Rockin'
