Beating Rahman Proves Nothing For Klitschko

One can choose to believe the hype of the upcoming heavyweight showdown between WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko and Hasim Rahman, or they can see through the fog created by the promotional spin-doctors.

Rahman is being built up as the biggest threat that Klitschko has ever faced since winning the WBC title, but that is not saying much when accounting his less than stellar opponents. Most fight fans find it very frustrating to watch the string of less than appealing bouts which Klitschko has taken to follow-up his gutsy performance against Lennox Lewis.

It is an embarrassment to the sport when powerhouse media outlets like HBO and Ring Magazine try to shove Klitschko down our throats as the 'real' heavyweight champion of the division.

How is it that the longest reigning heavyweight champion, Chris Byrd, who holds a TKO victory over Klitschko, is not considered the true champion of the division? Is beating a grossly overweight Kirk Johnson, a fat Danny Williams and a part-time golfer in Corrie Sanders more impressive than beating Jameel McCline, DaVarryl Williamson and a hard fought draw with Andrew Golota? Hell No! You must have been drinking tonight. The biggest risk out there? Bigger than Brewster or Peter or Brock? Rahman's only big win was an upset over a glass jaw Lewis. Vitali has a solid iron chin and Rahman is not that big of a puncher. All of this equals to Rahman lasting under 6 rounds.

vk should fight byrd, but byrd seems scared.

brewster would also be a better opponent to beat than rahman.

The writer of this article is an ass, Vitali tried to get a fight with Toney and Brewster, but Don King and WBC wouldn't let him, telling he must wait to fight his mandatory.

When one writes an article one should not show any bias One should "state the facts" and elaborate. After reading the first few sentences I got the feeling like this guy doesnt like Vitali. I dont care if he likes him or not, but your not supposed to show it. Clearly that article is there to bring a point across, now if someone reads that and see's that this guy clearly dislikes the Klitschkos do you think he will take it seriously? Ofcourse not.

Hence I dont like reading boxing articles when the author is either a nuthugger or a hater, it's not professional.

I may be mistaken, but you sir are the one that is biased. If you read the article carefully, he never really takes shots as Vitali as a fighter, just his level of competition and how Wladimir has still accomplished more in his career. In reality, he picks Rahman apart more than anyone. He stated the facts, and rather than try to give your take on the facts you write that he must not like Vitali. You must not read articles that carefully because he clearly praises Wladimir several times in the article so how does he "clearly" dislike the Klitschkos.
