yeah, but it's not the kind of talk that would give boxing a positive image. also, some of the people who bought this fight are probably pissed off that they did considering how it ended and, as a result, they will feel less inclinded to want to dish out $65 for another PPV boxing match in the future.

Pacquiao vs Mosley was a stinker, but PAC will still get over 1 million buys versus Marquez. Fans are settling for nonsense, so the promoters are gonna keep feeding that.

well at least with pac vs mosley some people knew beforehand that there is a good chance the fight will be a stinker/flop. with mayweather vs ortiz there was potential of seeing a good match, but it was ruined because of the way it ended and it just put a bad taste in everyone's mouth and left people feeling robbed. another example was mares vs agbeko..you expected that to be a good fight but it was completely ruined by mares low blows and the incompetence of the ref.

I'm sorry my friend, but it wasn't. Go read Twitter/Blogs/Facebook, and the reaction from so many has been overwhelmingly negative. I've had many friends of mine tell me that that was the kind of **** that stops them from becoming a boxing fan. Farce, fix, fraud....you name it.

Last night was a black day for the sport. The perception of our sport is that it deserves to be where it is when stuff like that goes on.

It wasn't the result that bothered me, I knew Floyd was gonna win before and during the fight. It was the repercussions that it would have on our sport that have depressed me.

Yeah, we fight fans know the "protect yourself at all times" mantra and know that technically, is was a legal punch (but morally shameful, IMHO). But these casual fans - they're seeing a fight ending in 4 rounds where one man is punched with his hands down and not even looking at the other guy, who knocks him out in such a sly way. And they're paying $60 for that privilege.

That fight set boxing back even more.

This PPV I bought because of Floyd that Pac vs Mosley fight I bought it becasue of Manny. Pac came to fight and Mosley was acting all scare ****less. In this fight Floyd found a way to get out that fight very poorly. So yeah I have to ***** about me spending money on him. so STFU yourself buddy.
