First off, that was a masterful performance by Floyd last night. He literally walked down and beat to the punch a much younger, heavier, and harder hitting southpaw opponent. Floyd is 34 yrs old and fresh off of a 16 month layoff and it wasn't visible at all.
Now...the crying and moaning about the shot given to Ortiz at the end is really mind boggling. People are so quick to hate, that Floyd's performance is getting lost in the shuffle. You can not say in one breath that the hit is legal (that all experts and boxers are saying) and then in the next breath claim foul on the grounds of unsportsmanship. I would love to hear the opinion of fighters of yesteryear and fighters with old school mentalities. I bet Hopkins, Toney, Tyson, Hagler, George, Roy, Sweet Pea, SRL, etc all wouldn't have this sensitive response that I'm seeing from "supposed" BOXING fans.
This is a gladiator sport. I guess in the world when everyone gets a trophy in youth sports, even when losing, is really upon us. Take your skirts off and let's await Pac to uphold his end of the bargain in November.
