Did he get outboxed and outclassed? Yes. Did he lose every round? Yes. Did Floyd have him backing up after four rounds and was his face starting to look bad? Yes. But he landed a few decent shots through Floyd's guard and looked decent in round 2. And not only that, he could easily claim that he would have taken Floyd out in the late rounds. I highly doubt that, but we'll never know for sure and I'm sure a few were wondering "Why isn't Victor throwing yet?".
A kid who came up from virtually nothing left with millions of dollars just to get outclassed by Floyd for four rounds, and I'm positive he'll get another payday after that performance. He deserves it. People know who Vicious Victor Ortiz is after tonight.
I would like to see him fight the Alexander-Malignaggi winner. It'll help us to judge where he is at the moment because both are better boxers than Andre Berto. If he dominates, that will look decent on his resume. But if he struggles, he obviously isn't that good.
