Ortiz tried the dirtiest headbutt I've seen live. Then he lost his head and kissed PBF and then acts like an amateur and doesn't keep his guard up. He is one weird dude who can be dirty and is not focused enough to ever be elite.
Cortez proved yet again that he has no business in the ring. Bayless would never have stepped away and let the fighters go without keeping his eyes on the fight. Cortez is simply an awful ref.
PBF lost because the whole story is going to be about the cheap shot and not about how sharp, aggressive, and dominant he looked earlier. Definitely the scariest he's ever looked at 147. As for the KO, he looked out of the corner of his eye to see that Cortez was turned and then took both shots on Ortiz. He knew what he did was dirty, (even if it was legal). He was so ashamed of it that he blew up at Merchant for no reason before Merchant had even asked anything that harsh. PBF could have just said what he did was legal, what Ortiz did wasn't. Instead he looked out of control. His biggest loss is not going to be with boxing fans, but with the Judge, Prosecutor, and Jury that might hold his future in his hands. Can anyone doubt that he is capable of doing what he is accused of now?
